Meet the Doc

Hey! I’m Dr. Aaron Rauen and I’m thrilled you’re taking the time to read a bit about me.

First off, I live in Peosta, Iowa with my wonderful wife Shelli and four beautiful daughters; Landry, Leighton, Finley, and Everly.

I grew up nearby in Farley, Iowa and graduated from Western Dubuque High School. From there I went on to attend The University of Northern Iowa where I graduated with a degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry in only three years. I saw the impact dentistry and a smile can have on a patient while observing Dr. Downs for a summer and decided that was the path I wanted to take. The University of Iowa was my next stop in getting my education in Dentistry.

I pursued many different paths in the cosmetic dentistry arena, but the one that really made me excited was orthodontics and moving teeth to make beautiful smiles. For a few years, I even taught at the national level for an orthodontic company spreading the good word about braces! I continue to coach other dentists in their journey providing braces through www.myforeversmile.com, a braces consulting service.

After years of creating smiles at our main office, Abbadent Dental, Braces By Abbadent was formed with the mission to increase access to smiles (braces) in the tri state area. We focused first on providing great service, but also on making it more affordable and working with all insurances.
